Product Development and Design Associate at Blackbough Swim

Blackbough Swim is a customer-obsessed swimwear company that aims to delight customers with trendy and flattering designs, and a differentiated and superior buying experience. 
 

This is a hybrid office-based position, with required in-person work three times a week. You will report directly to the Founder/Creative Director and will work collaboratively with our team of production and graphic designers for your deliverables. Our office is located near Wack-Wack, Mandaluyong City.

Product Development and Design Associate Responsibilities

• Work closely with the production team and sign off the seasonal calendar according to the international market framework
• Respect all deadlines and be responsible for production deadlines, guaranteeing an exceptional quality of work
• Conceive, refine, and execute innovative products together with the founder and creative director
• Create mood boards and gather inspiration following the creative directors' guidelines
• Ensure the delivery of commercially viable, high quality products and collections in line with budgets and market opportunities
• Contribute to commercial decision-making relating to cost and retail pricing
• Actively research and identify new product opportunities to support the growth and expansion of the business
• Liaise with suppliers and factories
• Manage sample making to a defined schedule with the ability to trouble-shoot, identify and resolve any potential fit, function or costing issue
• Oversee the process and progress of all new product lines
• You may also design and be responsible for some VIP and bespoke clients' projects.

Requirements

• Refined aesthetic and design taste. Proactive with researching and exploring new design and creative trends.
• Passionate about fashion and swimwear. Familiarity with current and trending designers and brands is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in CAD or other design software is a plus.
• Must be organized, coachable, and transparent with deadlines
• Graduate of a fashion or design related degree is preferred.
